it was my first time to hit the "apat na palapag" trail during that momentous nvp birthday ride last 6jan07 where a record breaking of more than 150 riders joined ;D if you're visiting sta. rosa - don't ever miss the apat na palapag but i'm quite sure that the sta rosa peeps can best describe their playground sta. rosa riders - pls do the honor ;D

I rode the "Apat na Palapag" of Sta Rosa in October 2005. It used to be a sweet double track filled with green vegetation in both sides. In January 07' it was as wide as a highway and the plants and trees were already removed.

that's the reality now - the trails are being developed and paved for developments. this is happening as well with maarat

is this the apat na palapag way back in '05? when we rode apat na palapag for NVP's b-day ride last month, it was a wide swath of cleared and newly graded trail being readied to be asphalted/cemented. that's why we have to ride all the trails as much as we can before developers catch up on us. just like what blackjams has mentioned, developers are slowly eating-up the trails of maarat, before we even know it, what will be left of the maarat trails are just the side trails and the main trails going to giant will just all be history for us mtbikers. sir, i believe that mount makiling offers a lot of good trails like the mudspring trails and the hidden valley trails. there is a very active mtb group in the UPLB area (of sir lenard) that you can hook-up with in case you want to hit the mt. makiling trails. HTH

Sad to know that the trail is already paved now... So many trails is already paved so you need to travel longer outside the city to ride a better trail... this is what happening now even here in my area... Does this mean that we need to shift to road bike because more trails are already paved...
