There are 3 versions of the Ka Vergel trails coming from Giant Store passing thru Halo-halo trail when going home to Timberland.
After passing thru Halo-halo, go straight, make a right, right turn again and at the small gate near the guard post, make a right turn and pass thru the double track trail for around 1-2 kms. The exit of this trail is the path along the highway.
The other two routes is to turn right at the chapel before decending AFP trail. The track at the chapel will lead to a fork, turning right will lead you directly to Ka Vergel trail stop along a double track route. When you go straight, you will reach the peak, then follow the single track down to Ka Vergel.

we've tried the chapel route last year. it was very technical. steep, sloping ditches that were a foot to a meter deep. real scary. someone took a dive in that area last year and went home with a broken collar bone.

Boss Blackjams, sige, we'll explore the 3 Ka Vergel trails next time. It is still all off road and unique.
34cog, yeah, the ruts are a meter deep going down from the peak but that is just the last 1/3 part. I also saw some riders spill at that area in fact, I also crashed at that decent and had this deep wound in my shin caused by the pedal. After that crash, I just walk everytime there is a technical decent.
Beautiful view at the peak or the tabletop as some call it. The trail to the left is the entrance to the Yes or No trail that exits to single track at the Araneta gate.
