What brand/make/size of MTB Tires do you use?
I ride XC and light Trail, and have used:
Kenda Karma 1.95 and IRC Serac XC 1.95

i use Ritchey ZED 2.1 Ever since... very reliable , Trail Worthy.. Mud, Fire Roads, Rocky sections
Downside: Wirebead, very heavy and very high rolling resistance on roads

i ride XC most of the time and AM once in a while. i'm currently using 26x2.0 maxxis dynomite(front) and spez pro roll-x rear. i find them good at offroads but their rolling resistance is too much on the roads. super-parusa talaga. to give you an idea of their application on a very basic trail which is wall-giant-wall flat paved road : 70% uphill-on-paved road: 10-15% off-road : 15-20% on the positive side, it's good for training anyways, i'm still putting my sight on changing into kenda nevegals or perhaps IRC serac. the moment my budget allows me to do so

im into folding tires.. specialized fastrak 2.0, very reliable, rolls fast, no hassles on off-road tracks! but i'm currently using a michelin wild gripper 1.95 folding tires right now.

Those tires look macho with tall knobs in high volume 2.0 size but when I used it on the road, it was heavy pedalling all the time. The tires naturally stops momentum... Since then, I have switched to low knob XC race tires for the fast rolling effect and since I do road rides with my MTB, I use 1.95 sizes only. I have used 2.0 Fastrak over-runs, 1.95 Kenda Karma originals and lately IRC Serac's.

yup! for specialized folding tires, i only recommend the fastrak. roll-x, adrenaline & enduro was such a disaster. ..that was for me, ofcourse.

generally - i'm an XC rider and perhaps a little bit of AM riding too for my XC bike - these are the tires that i'm using: 1. kenda karma 2.0 folding - very fast rolling on hard pack but tends to slip on loose gravel. on moderate mud - this tire is not bad either this is probably the lightest 2.0 tire at 480g. 2. panaracer fire XC pro 2.1 - with its aggressive knobs, this is my all around tire. it can climb the very loose gravel terrain at the helipad and performs as well on hard pack. i would like to try this time the maxxis high roller 2.1 unfortunately - it's not available in any lbs so far;) for my AM/Urban bike: 1. maxxis holy roller 2.4 - a fast rolling tire that is both good for urban riding and some trail riding. 2. maxxis hookworm 2.5 - with its slick profile - this is much faster than the holy roller but quite heavy. and i even broke 3 pcs of plastic tire lever when replacing it with the holy roller ;D ;D this is also a good DH tire with its very tough wire bead eventually sold this tire along with the heavy alex dx32 rim.

Ive been using Michelin Cross Country 1.95. So far wala pa namang problem. Not good in muddy trails & loose gravel.

My playground is mostly hte urban jungle but im currently running Maxxis Calibos 1.95 tire, but it certainly looks and feels like a 2.1. bloody heavy pedalling. Although I'm getting used to it now
