Both are really good companies that produce proven components. The Thomson's are aluminums, they are lightweight and strong. Meron zero degrees and there is the 16mm setback.
The Eastons have the EA50, EA70, EC70 and even the EC90 models. EA50 and EA70 are Aluminums and the EC70 and EC90 are carbons. I liked the EC70's but they were too setback for me at 25mm.
You already have the Easton bar and stem, bagay to have the post Easton as well.

Thomson Seatpost for Aluminum Surface finished - very strong black and silver Anodized all sizes available Simple design reasonable price...
For Carbon seatpost, Easton is better since Thomson don't have carbon... ;D

For the sponsored rider and racer, using carbon seatpost is a must because of weight savings. But for long usage and reliability, I still prefer thomson seatpost...

personally, it depends on what you wanna use it for. when i was running my nrs, i had cf bars and post but after my post(ec70) broke in half while tuning my rear shock, i decided to switch to thomson elite no problems ever since, and don't wanna forget to mention that easton replaced my seatpost with another ec70 too.
let me add that raceface do real good cf bars and posts too and they're a bit cheaper than the easton's
