since i'm planning on taking my bike with me when i get to go home, i was wondering which would be better to run, tires with inner tubes or go tubeless for the riding conditions in the philippines?

I currently use the tube system because it is more simple to maintain and is cheaper. Just replace the tube in case of a flat, pump air then you are ready to go.
The tubeless system like stans will allow you to be flatless against minor punctures for around 2-3 months, then after that, the liquid dries out and you can get a flat. That is the reason why you still have to carry a tube.
Of course for short periods of time like in an XC race, a 24 hour race or a special trail ride, the tubeless system is better.
I will let other members who have experienced using Stans post their inputs.

that would depend on the trail that you would like to ride on. Personally, i'd go for tubeless regardless of any trail condition.

No problem with sealants. There are Stan's liquid in the local shops here (in Libis, QC and Panay, QC) for I think 400-500 per cup.

I go tubeless... weight is relative on what tire you use...but the benefit on traction, less rolling resistance and pedaling is far more greater than the cons... not to mentioned the puncture or pinch flat that won't/less experienced as compared to tubes

I'll try the tubeless system sometime to have first hand experience.
I got discouraged when Radical & Rocky went back to tubes after trying the Stan's tubeless system.
One needs a tubeless ready (UST) rim and tires, plus Stan's liquid or one can convert the non tubeless rim and tires with Stan's tubeless convertion kit.

here's a ghetto stan's conversion: equipment needed: 1 pc. 20 inch presta inner tube per wheel 1 roll of 3M fillament tape 1 Cup stan's sealant per wheel air compressor directions: 1. get 20 inch presta inner tube for each wheel 2. cut tube lengthwise but keep the presta side uncut 3. put 20 inch tube in rim like you would a rim tape 4. cut with blade, excess tubing from inside the sidewall making sure that there's enough tube covering the inner wall of the rim. 5. remove pre cut 20 inch inner tube and wash rim with soap and water, then let dry. 6. wrap filament tape around inner rim like you would a rim tape, poke a hole big enough for presta valve. 7. slap on pre cut 20 inch inner tube 8. slap on tires leaving enough gap to pour about a cupfull of stan's sealant per each tire. 9. mount tire making sure no excessive sealant drips or go to waste 10. spin tire so sealant can spread 11. inflate with about 45 - 60 psi and spin tire again. 12. let sealant spin in the tires for a while (it is also best to ride the tire as soon as you get a stable inflated tire, makes it easier for the sealant to do its job). 13. re-inflate tires to max inflation and check for leaks around rim and tire. let the wheel lay on the side na may leak and spin the wheel para ma seal nung sealant. 14. re-check tire pressure and for leaks avery once in a while, it is best to do this for the first 24 hrs of your conversion. 15. congrats in converting your regular rim and tire to tubeless!

i will try and post pictures of how i did this conversion on some of the bikes i've help build. ginamit ko na rin tong conversion na to for my ss bike.
pinaka mahal kasi yung inner tube conversion ng stan's kaya i kinda came up with this with the help of a couple of willing friends that let me try it on their bikes.
ps. mahirap talagang i convert yung kenda's, masyadong pourous yung sidewalls, tyaga tyaga lang.
