Is the KONA cindercone mtb good for cross country rides? What do you suggest, rigid or with suspension bikes? Please help me with this predicament because I own a rigid KONA bike and would want others to confirm its the best bike for cross country funrides.

it's a cross country frame bro just set it up with a suspension fork so you won't be jarred much on trail rides. wait, let's define terms first. By rigid it generally means no suspension at all. Hardtail (HT) means you have a frame without suspension but you have a suspension fork. Full suspension (FS) or dual suspension means you have suspension on both your frame and fork. it will depend actually on you if you want a rigid, HT or an FS. although HT is lighter than going FS. But if you want a smoother ride get and FS. thing is, you will learn to ride better on an HT because you get to read the trail and would often go for the smoothest lines

:DThank you so much Brod for the response. I really asked this because my co-biker here owns a GT full-suspension bike and usually rides this in cross-county. The one thing i noticed is that he cannot catch up with the fast riders even though he can lock his body suspensions and front suspensions. Many of our friends here already changed their suspension forks to rigid since they realized the disadvantage of suspension forks...hindi steady at magalaw sa on-road travels. However, I still keep my ht kona with suspension fork since it lessens the strain in my arms and shoulders. The only defect is that the suspensions (ordinary rst) make my bike a little heavier and I cannot keep up with the bikers with the rigid forks. I enjoy riding my bike offroad since the suspension works and eases strain especially on downhill runs.
