Batlag Falls Ride (Tanay, Rizal)Ride Date: 21 Apr 2007 (Sat)Meeting Time: 6:30amMeeting Place: Burger King, Marcos Hiway (after Sta Lucia Mall)Estimated Time to Complete the Ride : 5 - 6pm (including rests)Trail Head starts from Mang Vics bulaluhan... mostly paved road, fireroads and rocky road... last portion of the trail is a very steep technical downhill to Batlag. Trail ride estimates 50km back and forth... we'll exit via the palo alto gate (a very steep short uphill climb ) Prepare P20 for the entrance fee... Bring Light snacks for sure tomguts we are once inside batlag we'll take early lunch at Mang Vics Bulaluhan before entering the trailhead (there are no carinderia once inside the trails upto batlag).. Hope this time there will be lesser people on the falls (we ride last holy thursday and its jampacked) since it is already accessible via Sampaloc, Tanay (i think via tricycle only). some teasers here's the rest of our last ride r0rschach.multiply.com/photos/album/49 join na!!! ;D

Pasensiya na to those who attended. I had to bail-out as my shifter cable gave way and could not shift gears. I could only travel at 10-12 kph max because the chain was in the largest cog, I could not see the peloton anymore and I did not like to be a burden to the whole group. I turned around 5k after Mang Vic's and went home via Marcos-Katipunan-Commonwealth. I really wanted to see/ride to Batlag falls, but as they say, there will always be a next time.

I saw, Buknoy (Vic) and 2 others trying to catch-up with you guys. I saw them near Mang Vics when getting back. Nakita nyo ba sila? Nakahabol ba? Of course there will be a next time especially when alam mo na yung trail hehehe
