since buying my pre-owned manitou nixon fork 6 mos. ago - i haven't serviced it yet lately, i'm hearing some noise - must be the fork is bottoming out is inspection and/or maintenance needed ? - what do you think

yup it's an SPV and very similar to this except it's a std QR and not tru axle

just a tip, never hang air forks upside down. fluid will go down and airpocket will be created when bikes gets right side up and make clicking noise when run; solution is purge air forks air out to minimum and cycle fork ( push it repeatedly through it's travel about a dozen or so times) re air and check again for clicking sound. if it still clicks, release air again and cycle. if symptoms persist after going through this make sure there's no oil leaks anywhere, if there is consult a doctor (bike doc, that is).

Maybe you mean for a long time period of time...say a week or a month

Reno is at around 3500 to 4000 ft above sea level.

i brought the Nixon fork to Dans Bike Shop yesterday and Robert, the good Fox Fork mechanic serviced my fork and converted the damping system of my Manitou fork to a Fox no more clonking sound and now it's very Plush and that's for P450 only thanks to Robert of Dans Bike Shop my fork is now Manifox ;D ;D

Nice high end bikeshop with nice high end bikeparts.
